Employee Training Cost Analysis to Increase Sales

Training employees is an important task undertaken the management of human resources at every company. Job training plays an important role to increase sales volume. Exercise or training is an activity of a company that intends to improve and develop attitudes, behaviors, skills and knowledge of its employees, in accordance with the wishes of the company concerned. Thus exercise is meant in the broad sense, so that is not limited effort to develop the skills solely, guidance and others.

PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta is a company that is engaged in the service letters, service demand, service counters requiring considerable manpower in its operational activities.

This study aims to determine the relationship and the influence of employee training costs, to increase the sales volume of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero), Surakarta and to determine whether the cost of employee training to increase the volume of sales of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta.

The object to be examined in this study is the cost of job training in clerical staff services (X1), post processing staff (X2), counting staff time (X3), and staff training instructor (X4). To find out the relationship and influence as well as whether the cost of employee training to increase the volume of sales of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta will be tested with correlation analysis and multiple regression.

The results showed that the count value r = 0.963 (X1), 0.961 (x2), 0.877 (X3), 0.776 (X4) which was followed by t test that produces a probability of 0.008 (X1), 0.009 (x2), 0.051 (X3) , 0.123 (X4) showed that the cost of employee training X1 and X2 correlated with sales volume of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta at 5% level and with X3 correlated with sales volume of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta at the level of 10%. In multiple regression analysis produced a regression equation Y = 82,110,610 X 1 + 2201 + 3261 X2 + 0.154 X3 - X4 2270. significance level of output for X1 = 0.004, X2 = 0.005, X3 = 0.025 and X4 = 0.062. this shows that the variable volume of sales of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta correlated with employee training costs.

Based on the data analysis, the researchers recommended to PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Surakarta to put first priority to mengotimalkan costs of job training in clerical staff services because it has the largest regression coefficient. Later in the processing staff and the last post in staff travel time calculation.
