Aircraft Fall Kills 22 People

A commercial aircraft berpenumpang 22 people crashed in the southern region of Patagonia, Argentina, on Wednesday (18 / 5). All passengers are presumed dead.

Aircraft with flight number 5248 was owned by airlines Airline Sol. According to the airline, the plane was carrying three crew and 19 passengers, including a baby. Last communication occurred when the plane flew from Neuquen to Comodoro Rivadavia.

"Unfortunately, none of the passengers survived. We've seen the body of the plane had burned out," said Ismael Ali, the director of a hospital in Los Menucos, the town nearest the crash site.

Local television station, Todo Noticias and C5N Television reported, propeller aircraft Saab 340 types of ice enveloped the air due to freezing temperatures in Patagonia. But until now there has been no official announcement about the cause of the crash.

Sol Airlines ground states receive emergency communications officer from the plane after 42 minutes of flying.

Meanwhile the mayor of Los Menucos says it has sent a team of firefighters and ambulances to the crash site is quite remote.
