The battle between Yemeni forces and opposition groups. As many as 40 people were reportedly killed in the incident.

Attacks in the region Arhab show battle extends to the mountains of Yemen. Since six months ago, the opposition is struggling ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh. So reported the Associated Press on Friday (29/07/2011).

Opposition groups, in addition to resistance in Arhab, also launched a resistance to forces in the Yemeni city of Taiz. Security conditions in both regions is still a vacuum.

United States (U.S.) Yemen worrying and Al Qaeda and militant groups would exploit the current security vacuum.

The battle has just happened now rumored to have killed 17 soldiers Yemen. While casualties tribe reportedly reached 23 people. The battle occurred when opposition forces attacked Republican Guard military base.

Government forces responded with artillery attacks and bombing the territory opposition forces, led by tribal chief Hamid Sheikh Assem.

Yemeni Defense Ministry blamed the opposition and several military groups that have crossed over to the opposition. But Shaykh Hamid confirmed this attack is only done by the tribe.
